My youngest son Ryan, [13 years old] listens to music and plays on the piano what he hears..He has had no music lessons, but he taught himself to play the piano some months ago.
He's played quite a number of beautiful music that he hears, and here he is playing the music of Dax Johnson that he listens to first, then go and play it:
If you have a youtube account, feel free to leave a comment for him ^_^
Thanks for listening!
-Michelle

Re: Ryan playing the music of Dax Johnson
Michelle,
Your son is a prodigy.. For him to have had no former lessons and have the ability to recreate what he hears at such a young age, means that he has an extraordinary mind and I would seriously encourage him my dear..
It is extremely rare if not almost impossible today to find someone born with such a capacity to retain an image or music in their head exactly note for note or line for line.
This is beautiful and I am astounded. He was born with a 'GIFT'!!! and I do believe that he was born to be a musician...

That's really impressive, go Ryan! He's very good. Is he interested in pursuing music in school/outside of school, as more than a hobby? It can be really valuable to have other musicians around to hone and help guide innate talent like his. He's really fortunate to be able to express himself this way.

Thanks Alan and Trevor..
He and his brother both play complicated music as if they had been playing for years.. they're passionate about music, and plays everyday.

Please tell your son 'thank you' for easing away some of the tension from my day. It was beyond good, it was brilliant!
