Sherlock Holmes?

Does anyone else Like Sherlock Holmes?! 8D And if so, which veriosn of it, the TV show or some of the older/new movies?

OK, I have to be honest and admit that I didn't see the most recent movie. I did see the previews and felt its updated premise was a bit too modern for my tastes. However, I certainly understand how the re-make would give modern audiences more visual excitement. Being a purist at heart, and having read Sir Conan Doyle's work several times, I feel that Jeremy Brett's portrayal is a definitive effort.

So did you enjoy the movie? If so, I may have to get the dvd and squelch my biases.

I liked it! Of course, I haven't read the books, so I can't compare the movie to them. But it's entertaining.
