Creating custom gallery styles
Help - Customizing your art gallery
With the Advanced Gallery feature, you can customize your gallery to your heart's content. Not only that, you can share your styles with other members, and use other people's styles in your own gallery!
You can also choose from pre-made styles that differ from Advanced Gallery styles in that they're provided by Foundmyself, instead of by its members. There are also complete free art website galleries that you can put on any domain (www.yourname.com, for example).
Step 1: Create a style
Let's get going! First, load up your styling menu. Give your new style a name. Don't worry, you can always change it later.
(In the future, you can find a link to the styling menu in your control panel at the top left of the screen, where the FM logo resides.)

Step 2: Preview and refine
After you've filled in some values as outlined in the graphic above, press the "Click to preview" button. This will show an approximate view of your gallery style to the left of the styling menu. Previewing this way is quite a bit faster than saving the style, then viewing it in your gallery. If you need to preview the style in your gallery, you will have to save the style, make it active, and then activate your Advanced gallery as outlined in Step 3.
Once you're satisfied with your gallery style (remember you can always come back and change it later), click "Save this style."
Step 3: Making your custom style live
That's "live" like, IT'S ALIIIIIIVVVVEEE!!! Anyway, to make your new style shows up in your gallery, go to your control panel, then click "Gallery Styles." Click the blue square that reads "Enable your Advanced Gallery style" (seen below), then click Submit.

Editing and sharing your gallery styles
Editing
As you can see above, we are looking at a previously created style called "Aqua." You'll notice that the values are filled in as they should be for this particular style. In other words, the background color, image URL, and positions all reflect the current style.
You will see a list of your saved styles under the appropriately named tab. You can save up to 10, but you can delete and update the 10 as often as you want.
To edit your style, simply load it by clicking on its name under the "Saved styles" tab. Then, tweak the settings like you would with a new style, and save when you're done. There is no undo! Make sure you're happy with your changes first by using the "Click to preview" button, then save your changes.
If you have more than one style, you'll need to pick one to be your active, or live style. To do that, simply load it as outlined in the last paragraph, and click the tab marked "Make active style."
Sharing
Sharing is a beautiful thing. It separates us from the stinky critters and makes us feel good inside. On Foundmyself you can share your gallery styles with the world!
To share your beautiful style, load it, then click the "Share" tab. From that moment on until you decide to delete it or click the "Unshare" tab, the whole world will see your styling prowess in the shared styles gallery.
Once someone decides to use your style, they can still retain it even if you delete the style or unshare it. However, if you do decide you don't want to share a style any longer, nobody new will be able to use it.
