Contemporary artist. William (Bill) Hewes is an American self-taught artist, Born in a small New England town in 1957. He paints using color fields and Action/Drip painting style, and he built a spinning table to produce amazing large-scale spin paintings. After experimenting with different styles of painting, He settled on abstract artworks because of the freedom within the genre. He gets his artistic inspirations from Jackson Pollock, Robert Natkin, Mark Rothko, Jasper Johns, Leon Golub, Matisse and others.
