A portrit of Boudicca an Iceni queen who led a revolt around 60 AD against the Romans in Britain.

I wasn't drawing her originally, I was just sketching. But when I saw the expression in her eyes, I had moment of recognition and I knew exactly what to name my drawing.

Great to see a portrait of Queen Boudicca - She sure kicked Roman ass there for a while - My local tribe was the Brigante and I love the visiting the peak of Ingleborough where they hung out against the invading Romans - I believe they would have also used the cave system there which has the world famous Gaping Gill pothole
