A beautiful large Celtic cross sits boldly in the center between four round metal adornments and vibrant overlapping colors.

The colors used in this piece form a triad on the color wheel:
-- yellow-orange (Diarylide Yellow) -- on Light Molding Paste
-- red-violet (Permanent Violet Dark) -- on Acrylic Ground for Pastels
-- blue-green (Turquoise -- Phthalo) -- on Fine Pumice Gel

This is a very unusual piece because the last two Golden mediums are typically spread very thin on the canvas or paper to give it tooth. Here, I have broken the rules and used them as raised texture and as a way to darken the colors to make them more vibrant and rich.
