Yeah the trees look like Silver Birches and kind of add a an extra visual backdrop and composition - even though some are foreground. They probably aren't Silver Birch but they wether the same with those almost abstract dark welts like quills. I study patterns like these and they work really well. Natural uniformity/chaos. RobK
