I sure had to paint fast to catch this one!

I love this one. I get the complete sense of camping just looking at it!

This painting has a real duality in subject and color- the soft glow from the tipi contrasting with the stark lightning, and the line of black and white clouds with the deep color throughout the rest of the painting. Very cool.

This piece rocks! You did yourself proud on the reflections, detailwork and vibrational communication. I can't begin to imagine how fast you had to paint. It's hard enough trying to photograph lightning.

I love that soft glow from the teepee. I think the name is fitting, too. Especially if that tornado is headed their way. Could you have a bit of debis in the air... ripples on the water?

Ireally like the reflection on the water, the strike of lightning looks great also.

Either way it's a powerful image - terrific job on the lighting in the tipi and reflections.

Draye, I see what you mean. Some clouds 'beneath' (in back) of these would give some nice depth and certainly help reduce the stiffness. Thanks for your advise. I appreciate it.

Nice piece, but the clouds look a little stiff and unnatural. I think it's because they run in a straight line.

it takes you there i can almost smell the fire and the electricity in the air...
