Gone But Not Forgotten

A young lady in her twenties had a horse which she had had since she was a teenager. When the horse had to be put down she went into deep depression which was very negatively affecting her life. She came to me for counseling. When she had managed to get past her loss, I had painted this for her. She didn't want an exact likeness, (which I was incapable of anyway) but something as a reminder of what she had gone through and to go on with her life. She was happy with it and it hangs on her wall at home. It is posted here with her permission.

Not for sale.

kudos, very lovely peaceful piece. My ponies and unicorns want to go for a run under that sky.

June look at that night sky! It is one thing that I have never been able to do but you have captured the tranquility and peacefulness of the evenung here and somehow I believe that when that lady looks up at the stars at night, and in your painting, her 'friend' is not so far away..... Painted out of compassion by someone who has an ocean full..

It is a very "deep " piece...For all those who love animals is a "treatment".Excellent!
