I started painting when my dad passed away. He was a former mailman and artist who trained part-time at the Cleveland Institute of Art and Cooper School of art. He passed a lot of his knowledge on to me, and when he died, I inherited all his supplies and have been painting since, about 14 years now. I paint in strictly oils, mostly alla prima, usually impasto on canvas. I specialize in landscapes but have also painted portaits and some abstracts.
