Artist Bio:
My name's Chris LaZure, owner/operator of lazyArt Studio. Welcome to my site, hope you enjoy your visit.

With the super over driven pace of the modern lifestyle, filled with too much work, energy drinks and the constant push to build bigger-higher-faster, the world can be a hard cold place. Many of us find it hard to see that our world is filled with many beautiful visions to behold. These are the things I'm striving to bring to the world. Yet it must be more than just a pretty picture. While struggling with my own faults and foibles, it serves as a "macro-scope" bringing into view the many changes all of our lives could use.

So it is with a child's eye, one of innocence and wonderment, that I look upon this small small world of ours. In hope that I can bring just a small ray of sunshine to everyone. In hope that we can all see the need to slow down and breath. In hope all can see, that still in this modern age of excess, there are some yet in need of a helping hand up. If I am able to help even one person extend that hand, take that breath, or even simply lighten the dark corner of someones life; my life would be fulfilled.

When I was younger I drew all the time. But unfortunately my parents didn't consider my scribbles and doodles would lead to a viable career. Or at least I remember being told to get my head out of the clouds all the time. So it fell by the wayside.

After years of being unhappy and never seeming to find the right fit for work; after making a lot of bad decisions, and feeling frustrated at every turn. I was given the opportunity to once again take up the art I've always loved. If only as an evening venture thus far.

I've once again been given a grand opportunity; thanks to a slow down (some might say stoppage of work), I can devote much of my time to the creation and exploration of my artwork. I've been studying since Oct '04. I look forward to many, many more years of painting, with the eventual hope to have my "Night time venture" become my full time career.

In the Gallery you'll find a few of my paintings, never fear more are to come. Hope to soon have this page full, full, full. Check back often for more updates.

So please, by all means, check out my work and feel free to shoot me a message if you wish to make a purchase, make a comment, etc... you may do so at, or by clicking the link on the left of the page.

And always remember.....

To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden path
or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
