Re: Sites for posting artwork on that brings in the customers!

hey Gary I use some of these sites to post work on, but I don't use them for sales transactions, I agree that 35% is nuts, you don't have to sign up or agree to that part. I just have a free portfolio for more people to see my work. Here is another nice portfolio site that I joined yesterday and pos...

Sites for posting artwork on that brings in the customers!

Is anyone interested in compling a list of sites that posts your artwork (for free of course)? I have found , through my web stats, that this drives oodles of traffic to my site and results in lots of sales. I will start the list with my favorite one and why. Re: New Angels and Vineyard from Linda Paul - what do ya think?

Hi June
Thank you for your comment. I do not think any artist or writer likes to have their work stolen and sold somewhere else. The point is that it is theft, pure and simple. Would Micheal Crighton like to have his published words stolen and sold with no compensation?

Hi gary

Thank you for your input. The image loaded that way, but it is actually centered in real life! so I understant your critique. I don't think anyone sells my work better than me. sales last year were over $200,000.

Re: New Angels and Vineyard from Linda Paul - what do ya think?

Hi Anthony Thank you for your comment. I am glad my painting evokes romantism and feelings from childhood. We could start a whole discussion on the best way to protect oue work. yes, they can use photoshop and clone out the text, but then they really know they are stealing, it takes some effort. I f...

Re: New Angels and Vineyard from Linda Paul - what do ya think?

Hi Trevor
Thanks for the kind words. Rather than painting onsite, my creative process is more one of collecting vignettes of things that I love or that inspire me and then creating a sketch of ideas from a multitude of inspirations.
