Gone fishing

I first did this scene in watercolour and didn't come out too well so I re-did it in pencil, it is only postcard size and now languishing on a friends dining room table. As I didn't use any photo etc to help with the vision I wanted to portray I did get the fisherman too short and eventually changed...

Thanks for that, and yes I do use mounts but it is nice to be reminded as I can be forgetful at times. :)

Finished sketch work

Hi,

I have a number of pencil sketches but I was wondering what will happen to them without any fixative? Some are in temporary frames so I don't smudge them. If I need to put some on then what do I need to buy? Many thanks for reading. :)

Thankyou! A friend who takes many compositional photos told me that's what I lacked. Trouble is I don't always see the potential in subjects, not good when you need inspiration to paint! Thankyou all for the warm welcome it is very much appreciated! :D I was going to do a few doodles while looking after the shop but I got carried away sampling all the new sweets we got from the cash and carry, will try again tomorrow. :oops:
