Re: Solo Poster Making Contest

I am just learning my way around PS and now my boss wants me to make a health care awareness poster for work. I guess I mean a wellness poster. I have no idea where to start. I am thinking about showing some medical instruments and saying to avoid these, do this... and then list some exercise and di...

Re: Streetdance Movie

As a photographer, this is one thing you just can't capture with a picture alone. You need audio to really show the essence of the production. I have tried before but not successfully. I want to take a series of pictures and set them to the audio of the dance. That might get the job done.

Re: Photoshop Tutorial - Making a hole through someone's body

Yuck. That looks so real it gives me a pain in my side. I can have fun with the effect on my Halloween cards next year. Remember the movie Witches of Eastwick. I am thinking of going there with the holes in the belly. That'll freak my friends out.

Re: Photoshop tutorial - Realistic chalk font/text

That looks exactly like chalk. Great job. Do you know how do the same thing in the sky to make it look like a airplane sky writer wrote a message. Everything I try looks very fake. I need to get it too look more like smoke.

Ok that is an awesome photoshop trick but your example image creeps me out. I love it though. I may have to try this with my ex-husbands picture. I can think of the perfect bug to use too...

Re: Photoshop tip - arbitrary rotation with measure tool

It took me forever to figure this out in photoshop too. I would create a whole new image, rotate it, then paste it back into my original image. Geez what a waste of time. I guess I should read the help files more closely. That, or visit forums like this one.

Re: Photoshop tutorial - Text coming through clouds

I just got my copy of CS5 and hope to learn more of these tricks. I take a lot of photographs but have done very little tweaking in Photoshop. I have a couple of people who want some graphics and other things added to a sunset photo I took last year for an advertisement they want to print. I am exci...

Re: Trying to transition to an art career

I used to think I wanted to do art full time too, but then what would my escape be. I use my art to escape the world, could I really live that way all the time. Plus I worry about the bills, insurance, mortgages, and even the social aspect of work. I think I'll stick with my day job, and use my art ...

Re: What is your addiction?

Ha ha, great question. For me it is photography. Nature and especially sunset and sunrise shots. After photography I'd say I am addicted to my job. I love the place I work so I guess I am fortunate. Then comes the kids and food. I need to cut down on the food addiction though if you know what I mean...
