Re: Mental illness - Connection?

Thanks bogstandad. I actually never knew that some paints were made with any alcohol. That's pretty interesting. Basically I've been told that they are made of things like bugs and plants. I understand your limitation on the subject, it would not be wise to give un-necessary information to others wh...

Re: Agony Painting

Thanks everybody, I really appreciate it. Motivates me to want to try other attics of painting (this one was my first and only real painting I've done - other than school made projects) Red can be a pretty intimidating color. I rarely use it myself and on this it very much does look like blood on so...

Re: Mental illness - Connection?

Hmmm, some interesting new things to learn. I do like your post cjeje, especially the ending about the love for art. it made me chuckle quite a bit. I don't think that many people could be insultingly called "ignorant" It's true that if some people truly researched everything they said the...

Re: Agony Painting

thanks for the feedback, actually some one had mentioned that to me before, I was kind of wary about it because of the depressing symbolism that it states, but now that I have had a second person mention it, its makes my mind tick. hmmmm.

Agony Painting

http://www.foundmyself.com/gallery/albums/userpics/27835/normal_Agony.jpg This is actually my very first painting. I struggle with paint because it's not as controllable as a pencil. So I can definitely appreciate those who favor and do well with such a medium. I do know that Painting takes deep fe...

Re: opinions and feed back

I think if you are more comfortable with the watermarks on then you should keep them. I can understand your reasoning, though there is no need to explain. But if your work is valuable for people not to take then it is your right to take the measure to protect them. I would advise submitting others w...

Re: new diamond encrusted elephant

I think this piece is very intriguing to the eye. It's one that a person can look over and over again and see something new. I bottom one the best. I feel like you get more out of it. Plus the grey one does not do the elephant which is jeweled justice.

Re: Mental illness - Connection?

I wonder if the creative aspect is to release the mind into something new that the world can not offer them. It truly is a magical gift. However, I learned in the college I got to that most artists do not start off with a mental illness. the crazy aspects of their most popular work may have come fro...

Re: T-Shirt nd Logo Designs

I don't believe in spam when your trying to help others. Even if you are criticized for what you do, the answer is always "no" if you never ask. It's okay to seek help, you never know who may walk by and is willing to lend a hand :) But thank you for you comment, it's nice to receive feedb...
