Re: Please Critique and Is consent needed for a photo of peo

Your image is sweet and funny, people watching at its best. It really would make a funny mattress add...Wouldn't you love a Serta! Its classic with several in simular napping positions, and blank staring. Thanks! Now say I did want to try and contact Serta about using this image - I would then have...

Re: Please Critique and Is consent needed for a photo of peo

If you use the image to make money, say an add for Serta Matresses, yes you would need a models release. In a human observation such as this for your portfolio and art for sale probably not. Please Critique and Is consent needed for a photo of people?

Hello, I took this photo of people in a mall... was I supposed to get consent or have them sign a release or something? Not sure what the procedure is as i'm new to all the intricacies of photography. Seems like it would be awfully tedious but I want to do things right. Any help would be greatly app...

Re: i love photography.

I am so pleased you found my previous posting helpful. On a personal note, I am opening a business called "The Darkroom". I realize there is a limited audience/client for this service; however I would be the only service in Northern Arizona and specifically the tri-city area where I live....

Re: i love photography.

This "seize the moment" shot is eligible for stock photography. Those who need a "stuck out" tongue will find it useful for illustration a point. (I had to google stock photography) So I may be able to sell, or get a royalty on, my photo through a "stock photography" c...

Re: i love photography.

Hello! I would love to get your opinion and any criticism you can offer on my photography. Below should be one of the four new images I added to my "Photography" album. Would you mind looking at them? [The one below is a B&W of a bull, the other three in my album are a B&W Grasshop...

Re: "WHAT TO PAINT AND WHAT NOT TO PAINT, THAT IS THE QUESTI

I agree with the statement, "it's not what you paint, but how you paint it" as a way of summarizing painting in general; that it's the emotion and message you put into a piece. However, referring to narrowing your subject matter and style, with regard to famous painters, I would defer to t...

Re: Art contest - Micro Landscape

DSCN7391_2.JPG "Polar Ice Arch" For the Micro Landscape Art Contest The photo is of dried acrylic paint (a spot about 2 inches in diameter). The dried paint on the palette was leftover from a painting I finished a couple days before I found out about the contest. I did not form, or alter,...
