Here are two different attemps to the art of self portraits in the same day. Both of them are slightly orangy-er than they're supposed to be due to my inability to use the camera. Both pieces are 20 x 26. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v376/platform934/Self_Portrait_2_by_dearlithium.jpg 3 hours. ...
Ah, no internet. During the entire summer I was in China. None of my relatives had computers so I was forced to try webcafes...well, that was the plan until I figured out that I didn't look 18 and I think "kicked out" is an understatement for what happened there. And anyways, Rogers has been very on...

I borrowed this from a friend just weeks ago because she couldn't stop ranting about how "unbelievably cool" it was. Anyways, I liked it a lot, not that it really made sense to me with all of the time/space warp stuff. I actually read the whole time travel theory behind the movie and no. it still ma...
Well. After months of being deprived of the Internet, I'm back with 2 new pieces that I'd like to get some feedback on. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v376/platform934/David_s_Eye_by_dearlithium.jpg My second attempt at David's Eye http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v376/platform934/Mirror_Mirror_...
bloodjelly - The whole "I don't want to live because me life sucks" is percisely why I tried to find another art community besides deviantart and elfwood; where I'm seeing so much of it. About the shadow. The light came from behind the object so it casted multiple shadows in my direction. I don't th...

I don't know about other people's personal experiences, but I find that drawing hair in individual strands render to be extremely tiring. I would actually...
I'm new and I've gotta say, much talent around here. Anyways, I'm a high school student and I do mostly traditional art and I hope I can get some feed back on this. This piece was done I think, 1 year ago. Leaves in a juice box. Nothing terribly exciting.

This is an awesome drawing. And yes, I agree with the above about the arm. To me it looks kind of twisted in some odd direction. Good work with the details, they're there, but not overdone. Some nice texture in the hair too.
The expression is good and the shading is pretty nice. All I suggest is to use some darker shades so your image is more well-rounded. And also, the collar looks like it's a part of the neck instead of clothing.
