Have you ever taken any lessons. Might be worth your while. The rawness of your work might become more sophisticated. The best thing in art is when you enjoy it. Glad you are having fun. When you sell art it is normally a "fair price" as it is what the market will bear. Grandaddyearl

I assume many of you folks may have the same periods of frustration. How do you handle it? It does not seem to hel...

Love your work. Especially your sketches. Originals have still got to be in the forefront of art. As I work totally in pen and pencil (not computers) I appreciate your talent and with a Scotsman background the clan/crest theme you specialize in was especially appreciated. Grandaddyearl

Re: Frame Size

T, what are you trying to achieve? If it's just making a small piece look bigger on the wall a build up of matting color tinted or not can add 1 to 6 inches and the frame it self can add I find on my stuff another 3 1/2-4 inches. My 18x24" pieces on the wall therefor become 28x36" in some ...

Re: Sailboat in the Sunset painting

Is it titled "boats in the sunset" in your portfolio? Looser than your normal. With sails being such a strong image what thinking went into the reflection of the white sails in the foreground water being dark? Interesting image that played with my mind somewhat. Your colors in all your wor...

Re: Your thoughts on Welsh Cottage

Arthur, looks like it could be two pieces, half left, half right. Ones eye has a tough time taking in entire piece at one time. Normally we try and get the eye to start low left and focus on something higher to the right or give the eye an image to take in at one time . I like the depth on the right...

Re: What is Art?

Pete, how about all music, the stature of David, dance? They should be art. I believe your statement on "black and white" by the way might read "white is a color (all colors), and black is the absense of color (all color)."
