Re: Critique & Suggestions

Thank you for you sincere feedback. I did spend sometime looking through your pages. But perhaps more importantly I have and keep thinking about your comment. I feel I am growing. Your comment, "Art is more of a personal journey and outcomes of all journeys have a energy of the unknown and disc...

Re: Working in Mixed Media for the first time.

I agree the green is a stronger piece.

It contains a nice sense of rhythm. I believe the dynamic but orderly composition is strong. Oh and the color unifies the piece. Keep it up

Critique & Suggestions

Been awhile since I've been around. I got a comment recently and the email it generated reminded me I haven't been using this great resource. Thanks SharsArt! I'll make an effort to reconnect. Please critique the following. I am submitting an image that has my original sketch, a refinement and an at...

Re: >>New picture<<

Nice work. It sounds like you have an interesting way of working (drawing by hand and then computer finishing) that is employed well. Lorena is "right on" about a disconnect between some of the linear elements. I think the problem is not so much the line thickness, but the perfect straight...

Re: what do you think

It is a bit of a tough question. I am inspired and impressed that you took on such a mighty subject. I am curious about your ideas/symbolism behind the piece. Is the piece more about the Resurrection or the Passion (or both)? I have some technical ideas you can think about as well. I like the cross'...

Re: New Drawing!

An ambitious drawing. I really like how you handled the models right leg, arm and breast. Also I enjoy seeing the confident lines of the drapery. Since you want a deeper critique here's a few things that you could examine. To my eye the torso lacks the attention to the underlying structure the leg d...

Re: art fun blue vase

Here are a few questions you can ask yourself? What do you like about it? How could you push that quality? What is your overall goal for the piece (for example are you aiming for realism or emotional response) I hope these questions help. Also Anthony is right working on something else and coming ba...

Re: Famous Artists Who Used Their Work As Therapy

Thanks for the article. I thought it was well written. It was also nice to see references (with links) to lesser known work.
