Thank you for your advice Bloodjelly, I just might make that adjustment. But you know how hard it is to back to a painting like that. I suppose that being winter light espescially, the shadow would be softer.

I like mixing foreign materials into my paint. This is not uncommon, I think, but some things I add to the paint for texture are uncommon. I've added bone ashes, sand, ect.
