When you are drawing something, I think your style is "Draftsman" . When you paint, you are INTERPRETING the draftsman style . Your painting style seems a little abstract, impressionistic, leaving realistic behind and plunging into passion and emotion. That's it abstract impression !

Why not do both ? Your photos of flowers are beautiful, some a little cropping would emphasize your actual focal point plus you can photo shop textures and create the illusion of a painting from the photograph. Show a painting from a photograph along with your query. Plus in painting you can capture...

Are you referring to the image on the computer ... or the actual image ? If it's the actual image: One can control aperture even with a digital camera. Could you cut the board with an exacto knife to remove the problem, then cut a new piece of board to the exact shape you cut out ( just a tiny bit of glue for edges only). Then paint over with gesso on both sides to level the surface. OR could you think outside the box and turn a mistake into a feat...
