Hi all, Here is a copy of an illustration from a classical book of Voltaire: Candide. The technique is dry point. I did not spend too much time with it, as we were in class, and we were trying out different techniques. Some smaller areas could have been developed a bit more. LA Candide smaller.jpg
Thanks man, I might look into it that way some more although for me to put in deep shades is not too natural, though it always helps with the depth. Yeah, shading depth is something I definitely need to work on in general.

Yeah, it looks pretty good to me. It is hard to suggest any improvement on this one but congratulate :) Just one thought. In front of /behind the boy, the background somehow changes too much in shades. But that is only a concern if it is going to be a finished up super painting and not left to be a ...
