Two player co-op games, Suggestions?

Postby Jaime Lyerly » Tue Oct 16, 2007 4:01 pm

The video game section is super dead so I may be talking to the wind but I will try anyway.

Does anybody know of two player cooperative games (mostly fantasy) that are super fun? I don't really like realistic kill-em-up games, but some nice fantasy killings are fine.

My partner and I played Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and are now playing Champions of Norrath. The LOTR was perfect and we are looking for something like that. Champions of Norrath is good, but not as action packed as LOTR.

Any suggestions?

This is not a console game or an online MMORGP, this is an older form of game but far superior in my opinion. DragonRealms is a good ole fashioned fantasy MUD, or text driven fantasy game that is in a very open world online. The game set up and info on a 30day free trial can be found at http://www.play.net

Each person playing has a character (or multiple if you have the desire). Characters grow in guild strength, and you are free to train as many or as little additional skills as you may desire aside from guild living in this game. There is an open ended aspect in that you don't have character challenges that are rigid and unflexible leaving the character free to persue whatever kind of life it desires or has interests in. It is a great fantasy game set in a world full of rich history and is designed for more Role Playing aspect of character development, but also caters to the hungry to kill and circle folks because the growth system is pretty flexible. There are guilds your character can join or professions so to speak, and there are harder guilds to engage growth in if you are a more experienced DR gamer, or some that are easy for anyone to grasp. Your character can study in many different directions, the world is full of details to explore with your character. There is a ton of information about this world and its inhabitants at this site, http://www.elanthipedia.com.

Happy gaming and good luck
