Oil painting techniques covers practical matters, but advice is backed by references to books and Internet sources. The underlying principles are not neglected, however, and may help you to understand and learn from the acknowledged masters.
So what's your techniques when drawing the painting?

mmhhh...I had read V.Elliots book and Faragasso where you can find numerous procedures in oil painting, My favorite method is with a Grisalle (in a indirect way) and alla prima. I really like to make use of a dry brush and rub. :D

Oil Painting is an extremely difficult medium to draw in realism. So I draw with pencil a simple design on canvas and then use a pallete knife and smush paint onto the canvas like as to sculpt. It is the only ability That I have. I hope this helps anyone that cant do it or just wants some archaic design technique.

I prefer to watch on Youtube, due to the opportunity not only to listen to the theory but also to see how it all looks
