This section is a growing "how to" guide for all media, including painting, photography, computers, sculpture - you name it.

Feel free to post any lessons you have learned and want to share with others. Attaching screenshots to demonstrate your techniques visually is really helpful, so use them as you see fit.

seems the how to is not there?????????????????????????????/

sharing techniques is important> why so?
experiences and their methods are often not included in reference books.
so those once in a while discoveries are terribly valuable to an artist looking for
the method. however, techniques take up disk space.

Why the reluctance by members to post their tips & techniques to help one another? Are we all holding out until we publish how-to books one day? There is also a post entitled Drawing Techniques under Visual Art. Come on people, let's light these up for all to enjoy and benefit from. 8)

It might not be a big deal but when I discovered that my pictures seemed better on wood, I found a clear coating that you mix the hardener with the resin and it comes out clear as a bar top....now how would I know that LOL. I forgot the commercial name of it but I'm sure its nothing new...just a tip for wood painters lol

Here is a very cool and interesting drawing technique that has been used for hundreds of years the video on this site explains it really well: http://www.camera-obscura-lucida-shop.com/new-hardwood-camera-lucida.html

I have learned something valuable that I would like to share.

Listening to Beethoven inspires me to draw vegetables, if I ever need to draw vegetables.
