My local photo club went uptop of the civic center to shoot founder's fest fireworks last night. I just uploaded 25 pics as a direct result. Gallery votes & comments welcome! :D

Pro Photo Tips:

Local photography mtg last night yielded some great shots of machine theme. Next month's target is seashells. A few tips I shared from the local exec dir of arts humanities council who used to be a pro photographer of special needs peeps: "No strobes or flashes for folks with seizures," and "Nothing shows up better than drool - be able to wipe spit and shoot almost simultaneously."

Peace,
tf

Last week was a full moon. I have photographed this many times with good results, as well eclipses. I was driving with the moon rising to the left side of the truck. I stopped to take some photos, in the midst of an abandoned road I might add. Be hind the moon were a few clouds, the small knolls, and a lake. The results I got were very strange. There were no buildings, no cars, no nothing...just myself, the land and the moon...here is what I got.
This was a strange week, as I also traveled a road I had not been down in a few years, very desolate and eerie at times, it has a strange history. The photos I took there all seem to have auras around the waterways, yet is was daytime with blue skies...go figure!

Replying to the comment on folks with seizures.
To let you know, I have a seizure disorder...I am forever telling anyone with me..."If for any reason I begin to look as though I will flop around on the ground momentarily...do not worry about me just grab the camera!" Cracked lenses do not show the drool by the way! :D
PS...I have a great sense of humor about this...I am not offended.... do not take this reply wrongly.

Rebbecca,
Great shot of the little warbler, and loved the pups frolicking in the waters. Thanks for sharing!

Hi,
My guy who accompanies me when out looking for photos get mighty bored at times...looking back in the mirror, I often see this pleading look as if to say..."Can we go get an Ice Cream now????"
This is Oliver, my 9 year old Cocker Spaniel.

Pam,

What a handsome man! :D I have two dogs and three cats myself. Haven't yet taken them on photography jaunts, but they do evacuate for hurricanes nicely. On a personal note, does Oliver predict and inform you of your seizures?

Peace,
tf

Ever since i was a kid, i have wanted miniture cameras in my eyes. Just blink, and snap. Now, i just use my phone. It's not real fancy, but it does the trick. And, it's almost as convient as the eyeball cam.
