Any advice on printing miniatures?

Any advice on printing miniatures?

So I realized my school has a fab-lab, a workshop full of DIY stuff, including a few miniatures 3d printer guide. Like Warhammer 40k I'm also a great fan of modelling games. Can you print miniatures, you think? If so, have you any advice? The only 3d files that I have found at this time are extremely low quality. Where can I find those that are good?
