As the new guy here, I am also curious as to whether or not you have kept an account of sales? Sharing one's art is one thing. Actively selling it is quite a different vocation. Thanks for all you've done.

Hi Steve thanks for joining. The site is always being maintained and updated. The current version is set to be replaced with a brand new look and feel soon. And yes many people have sold art here. Like most things in life though, you get more out if you put more in. ;) There are other threads that deal with those topics though.

My humble opinion.....there are those that care and those that don't here an everywhere. As for making living with your art...given you hav talent. I think it is all about being in the right place at he right time. Meeting the right people at t righ time. I mean if your a super painter and your sitting at your pc in rural Alaska expecting to get rich, not likely.

So if it I for enjoyment with maybe making some cash....well good luck. However if it is your burning passion...then get out ther and pun the pavement. Then when you get famous...if....then you can sit back and us your pc.

Good luck

When i joined Fm i was looking for a web site to store and offer my work to the public.I was not interested in another social network similar to Face Book or Etsy, but was starving to talk shop with other artist., and not crafters.Their is not a good % of feed back to the post we offer and i feel that is the consensus of most for the reason i stated above .Just my opinion .

I just found this (what seems to be a) wonderful place today while searching for how to get started selling art. ( bet you haven't heard that one before, eh?)

Anyhoot - don't give up on it. I'm a forum junkie and have been since the internet first began. Yes, that old.

People come and go, and yes there will always be those who demand attention without giving anything back, but like someone said above me - give them the chance to be human ( or at least seem human) and then just ignore 'em. Not worth getting upset about - which is not what I think is happening here at all - I think it was a very nice OP - kinda like a big brother saying "Hey kid, you need to snap out of it."

Well, no one's bought any of the art I uploaded in the last two minutes, so I'm off to read more posts - AND REPLY! :)

Nice to "meet" you folks.

Good Day All,

I don't mean to be that third person in the scene who comes out of nowhere and spouts out something completely unrelated what eveyone is talking about. I wanted to simply invite those of you who believe you have created something inspiring to submit your works of art to our site www.livinginspirednow.com with the goal of inspiring others. Full credit will be given on the site and our newsletter so that you gain some exposure as well as motivating others with your talent.

If you'd like to contact me, you may do so through the aforementioned website or my email:
