Heath Ledger Dead

Postby golfiscool » Tue Jan 22, 2008 2:19 pm

I thought this was kind of wierd. I was watching TV a second ago and they are saying Heath Ledger is dead. Apparently from a drug overdose.

That's horrible! The guy was only 28. I'm stunned.

I figured Rain would have started this thread.

I saw mention of this a few hours ago, on another site, and looked him up. I've seen a few of the movies he's in, but didn't recognize him at all(that's how generic actors are these days). Then I heard Brad Renfro died mysteriously, last week, and I didn't know his face either.

So, I guess there won't be a Brokeback Mountain sequel!

I never saw Brokeback Mountain; thought he was great as Ned Kelley. Too bad.

One of those "I can't handle the money, fame and fun, so I think I'll kill myself on drugs!" cards. Boo hoo! I have no sympathy for suicidal people. The world is now a better place with one less whiner.

maybe it was an accidental over-dose. Maybe death wasn't his intention.

It all leads down a path of self-destruction. If I was his age, with all those breaks, the last thing I'd be farting with is drugs. Drugs are for people with nothing to lose. And lest you throw hypocrisy in my face, yes, I have indulged in them, myself. But the stuff available in my youth and income bracket was nothing like the industrial-strength crap used now. And I never really found the urges to get high on a chronic schedule. It was recreational fun, not a lifestyle. And I haven't returned to that zone since the early 80's.

Although my last ex-girlfriend taught me that Scope in a bong gives you a minty-fresh high. LOL
