Andy Roddick pummeled Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-3, 7-6 (2), 6-3 today, winning the U.S. Open. The croud started cheering for Ferrero after the first set, trying to get him back in the game, but Ferrero looked relatively slow on his feet and off the mark with his forehands after the energetic win he took over Agassi yesterday. Roddick, on the other hand, was in top shape and fun to watch. He's the fastest server in the game right now (he had 123 aces this tournament) and he looks like he's going to be on top for a while since he also has good baseline abilities and at-the-net touch.
Go Niners! They schooled Chicago today - 49 to 7 last I saw during the end of the 4th quarter for their first game of the season.
