I was wondering how people who have been here discovered this web site (referral, google...). I'm just curious...

OK.......
I was just 'surfing' the web while at work. I think I put in something like Owl did.

I was very 'computer stupid' at the time (still far from good) but I managed to get in touch with Trevor somehow, and through PMs, he managed to get me all joined up (we paid for full memberships back then). Trevor also helped me learn to download my paintings.

Now Steve. We really would like to here about your experience!Image

I can't remember, but I think it was through Empty Easel or some other similar site.

I had joined another site to contribute my drawing for the 'million masterpiece' project, then noticed they mentioned foundmyself art community, so I checked it out and joined up.
Here's my page on the million masterpiece site:

My drawing was the online doodle of bob marley shown on the right column, you can click play to see the drawing in motion..

I didn't mean to keep you waiting... I was away from my "desk" for a while. I wasn't and am not concerned about the fiscal cliff. I digress and get back to the question. I was looking for a website where I could post my art for free. I have been keeping my artist abilities dormant and the need for funds came into play as well for my search. Someone mentioned this website and another. I believe I tried the other first, and wasn't in agreement. I believe I made the right choice since there are some great people on this website. :D

PS... It was via a blog that I read, and not an actual personal contact.
