My first Commission painting

Postby MindGem » Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:06 pm

Had my first "art show" on a public bath house. You gotta start somewhere :)
BUt it was a lot of fun, lots of feedback and a bunch of interest even though none were sold, guess I had too high prices for that audience.

Anyways, got my first commission work from a young lady who saw my paintings. I made a Youtube video of it, what do you think?

Like the initial sketch. Like the process you go through when painting and the result. Got to hate birds by the end. Trying to figure out how to video my works in pen. Probably more like you drawing your initial sketch. Grandaddyearl

Haha, Thank you for the feedback Earl,
I know, I'm sorry. I need to find copyright free ambient music for the Youtube stuff, I never ever listen to music when I work so that whole part of life is unknown to me.

I love the effect you applied to this piece . Very modern traditional ,you are on the right track , you are creating your own style which makes a good artist . Remember , it takes a long time to get people to follow your work , never think you over price your work , this is not a yard sale , put your price on the pieces as fair and as you gain customers your price will naturally increase . Comments from a old artist that learned the hard way . Keep going you are doing GREAT :D :D :D
