@Tracie Skarbo:
I got confused there for awhile, wondering how you're posting my pic :lol: then I realized you just included it in your quote.

this EXACT thing happened to me - the grasshopper was exquisitely fresh and green - beautiful salad. They insisted on putting my meal on the house, but I was just as happy picking it out and continuing with the salad . . . . .

Actually, these insects are good to eat. There's a very coherent argument that, instead of spraying poison all over the wheat crops to prevent the locusts from eating it, we should just let them eat the wheat and then eat them. They can be trapped at night by using electric lights, zapped, and sun-dried, then ground up to make flour which can be used to make bread, etc. just exactly like wheat flour. It's actually more nutritious than the wheat flour would have been, and avoids the cost and environmental impact of the use of pesticides.

Ask the average person if they've ever eaten an insect and they'll say, "no."

Well, trust me, you have. You just weren't aware of it at the time.

Here’s one I hope you like. I used three of your pictures plus 23 other digital images to come up with this compilation. I call it, “After Burners O My!”.

Here is my entry. The image is the mountain one. It's small but it's there.
