A simple song from a surfer to fill the free moment with sunshine:) Peace :D
Jack Johnson was played in all the best bars and cafes in town, belonging to the 'surfing' family, his music is cheerful and creates a sense of peace ..

Happy days folks - life is fun..

You're picking all my favourites :)) I love his chilled out sound - you can close your eyes and pretend you're in Hawaii!

hahaha afternoon Evie :)
At one point we grew sick to death of hearing Jack Johnson in Newquay, Cornwall, he was being played in all the surfing shops and cafes and bars.. But when I listen to him now, I realise it was because his music was so mellow and chilled out.. I love it! hehe

Happy days flower

Alan :)

Afternoon me old mucker!!

Ooh, Newquay must be a lovely spot. I've never been, but I just finished reading a book by Rachel Hore called 'The memory garden' set in Cornwall. It's all about the artists that used to live in the area, it sounds like a really picturesque place to be. Might be a bit chilly this time of year though! Do you surf?

I used to surf Evie and lived the lifestyle.. We would set out at 5am and spend all morning sat on the waves, watching the sun rise, and then catching some waves on the sparkly sea.. It will be warm down there just now, very mild weather..
Then it was off to do my job, cleaning out all the showers and walkways for the surf school, breakfast, and then do some shopping, then wet suit back on and hit the sea again. Beach parties were amazing, cornwall is gorgeous......

Sounds like bliss! Reminds me of summers in Salthill - lovely beach in Galway. Although I wasn't a great swimmer and the climate is far from mild! But you get accustomed to those Atlantic winds  Here's my summer soundtrack for this year - love this tune by James Vincent McMorrow.

Well we're takin' my woodie and headin' on down
Where the cool cool surfers all gather round
Got a brand new board and I'm ready to fly
I'll be shootin' the curl before the sun is high
Show those hodads, gremmies, heroes too
The kinda' high ridin' real surfers too

Well I'm a high ridin' surfer and it takes three crunchers and a heavy
to wipe me out
I can do a double spinner before you count to three
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me

Well I'm a real hot-dogger so very alive
When I'm ridin' the cruncher and a'hangin' five
Listen to the roar of the shore break sound
Keep on surfin' till the sun goes down
Grab your honey and a'hold her tight
We're gonna have a surfin' party tonight

Well I'm a high ridin' surfer and it takes three crunchers and a heavy
to wipe me out
I can do a double spinner before you count to three
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me

Surf City's callin' me and a'man oh man
Gonna find a surf baby grab her by the hand
Gonna build a fire, gonna build it right
We're gonna dance on the beach, gonna dance all night
Dance and sing the whole night away
And be ridin' our surfboards well the very next day

Well I'm a high ridin' surfer and it takes three crunchers and a heavy
to wipe me out
I can do a double spinner before you count to three
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me
Whoa oh, king of the surf that's me
