James McCarthy wrote:I like other kinds of music besides rock- such as classical, new age, medieval and electronic but I listen to rock the most.
Here are my top 5 favorites:
1. Yes (their pre-"Tormato" albums, before they went commercial).
2. King Crimson (especially earlier KC).
3. Emerson, Lake and Palmer (I feel that "Take a Pebble" is one of the most beautiful and poignant musical pieces ever written in any genre, including classical).
4. The Beatles- they were just so prolific and diverse, especially considering that they weren't really together for very long.
5. I can't make up my mind between early Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree, whom I've seen in concert three times now.

my sediments - LOL!

I so love rock bands before (Fall Out Boy, Incubus, The All-American Rejects).. until Pop goes booming recently in the top charts. It's so sad that the rock bands aren't the favorite anymore since Justine Bieber came into music... That's why I so hate him. >:(

But they are Jim :)
Thats why all the major action movies, and even TV programmes like CSI use rock music as their theme tune (the Who) because there is no other music in the world that captures the action and intensity quite like rock music. While Lady Bla Bla shakes her butt along with Beyonce and all the others, Music from 20 years ago is still the choice.
Now thats saying something for Rock!

Van Halen
Black Sabbath

Okay, here we go.
1. Dir en grey
2. Tool
3. A tie between Gwar and Apocalyptica
4. A tie between Nick Cave and Stabbing Westward
5. A tie between Modest Mussorgsky and Soundgarden

Maybe next week Blind Guardian will be there too. I always listen to music, even though my friends laugh at me because I like metal, then Russian classical music.

I agree completely with some of the posts up here: it is impossible to choose!

Some of the favourites are The Faint, Prodigy, Nine Inch Nails, Juno Reactor, Fat Boy Slim, Muse, Dave Matthews Band, Kaizer's Orchestra... and then of course there is Carl Orff! But rock is the best

It is basic for me overall to address Custom Writing Service privately, because predominantly I cannot invent sundry new drafts.

Hi to those out there,

I find it difficult to do my favourite 5 bands because I struggle with it, as it changes often but I will do 5 top bands that I have had long term relationships with even if they have been one sided.

I tried but I can't even do that, there are way more than 5.

T.Rex, Hawkwind, Kraftwork, Woody Guthrie, The Waterboys, Prefab Sprout, Dead Can Dance, The Future Sound of London, Tom Waits, Sven Väth, Captain Beefheart, The Church, The THE.

Sorry, BogStandad.
