Don't Stand Around Killing the Grass

"When you are old and gray and full of sleep, and nodding by the fire, take down this book and slowly read, and dream of the soft look your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep."

My soul was sinking in the mire
The liar kept me blind
One way ticked to the Lake of Fire

The Author of Truth, Transported me from the deadliness or the desert
To a Spring fed valley over flowing with life

I once had no vision, so the grass died under my feet
Then the visionary gave me a passion to roll throughout the land
proclaiming the madjesty of the Coming kingdom,
Through the voice of Art and Poetry

I am not going to be guilty of standing around killing the grass
I am going to keep rolling on until the navigator show up to fairs me across the Jordan River to the gates of The Visionary’s Majestic Kingdom.
