If you read the book "Hannibal", the ending was really ridiculous. Starling and Lector elope to South America, never to be seen again. Author Thomas Harris has really become a whore.
...Gee hamlet, you? contempt for the human race?
...What a piece of work is a man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals! And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? man delights not me: no, nor woman neither...
- William Shakespeare > Hamlet > Act 2, Scene 2
Oh so you're also a card carrying member of the he-man woman hater's club. I do know what you're talking about though, I don't know if it's humanity or society, or if there's even a difference. And gem, I know exactly what you mean about depression. It definately is a big part of my depression. If you are sensitive and a person of integrity, morals, or any other conviction. It is hard living in a world filled with insensitive, uncaring, immoral low lifes.man delights not me: no, nor woman neither...
...Here's a sequel poser for anyone who wants to tackle it. The Hannibal Lector movies...
OK, the sequence is:
1. "Manhunter" 1986
2. "Silence of the Lambs" 1991
3. "Hannibal" 2001
4. "Red Dragon" 2002
Now, let's see if I understand the question. What you're asking is, in reference to the novels by Thomas Harris, which of these four movies were sequels and which were prequels?
Also Manhunter and Red Dragon are the same film/book.
My question is, do you list them chronologically by film release(making Manhunter the first), by book release(making Red Dragon/Manhunter the first) or by the way the full saga is laid out(making Hannibal Rising the first)?
And I'm sure there will be another one coming along to muddy up the issue even more.
How about guilty pleasures? For me..."Love Actually". Of course I was going through a divorce. That may have something to do with it! Greg
