You know, Deb, I ate a fair amount of Spam when I lived in Honolulu; the locals actually considered it a delicacy and in that culture one does not refuse food offered by one's host. It actually isn't bad when fried but I never came to love it the way those folks so obviously do.

Thanks for breakfast! O, by the way, I think I stole that anti-spam cartoon from you, didn't I? :)

Lol...I'm still laughing about the video. I loved it. I must get me a utube account and save this one. I loved it. can't stop laughing.
Okay, now I know your are right about not eating what is served in other countries as to not insult them....by knowledge not experience of course, but spam? Hmmm I learn something new everyday.
I of course have had my share of fried spam. I use to call them spam burgers with cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato slices on a hamburger bun. Choice of dressing. I didn't think they were bad back then, but had too many so now....well. I don't much care for the stuff.

Speaking of it. the next dish will be.
Spam Burgers served with French Fries.

No, I don't think you got that one from me, but I do now have it in my collection thanks to you.

Strange as it may seem, the term "spam" denoting unsolicited commercial e-mail or instant messaging, is believed by etymologists to be derived from this bit of sketch comedy from 1970 by the "Monty Python" ensemble.

That was an interesting read, but more fun to watch the video.
Still though, to this day, when I see the word spam, I think of a spam burger first.
But it's a lot of fun to bust the chops of a spammer.

Now what should I fix for dinner, being this is change the dish game.

How about:

Grill Ribeye Steaks, baked potatoes or steak fries, coleslaw, fresh corn on the cob and a fresh fruit salad that includes diced c antelope, honeydew, pineapple and watermelon.
Cocktails will be served in the FM Pub.

Enjoy your virtual dinner, Carson.
