New art contest - Show us Your Workspace
Medium: Photograph/any
Deadline: July 11, 11:59 PM PST
Prizes:

Contest Rules:
Pick the closest thing you have to an art workspace - be it your easel area, desk, studio, some spot on the floor, a piano, an outdoor area where you do most of your creative work, etc. - and photograph it as it is now. No grooming for the camera! Then after you've taken a look at the photo and given it some thought, write a little blurb to give the rest of us insight into your process, and if you're up to it, into you.

If you'd rather paint or draw your workspace, go for it.

The deadline for the contest is July 11, 2014, 11:59 PM PST. The winners will be chosen at random from all valid entries the morning of the 12th. Everyone who enters a valid entry will get 1% Honor, which can be used around the site for various things. More info on Honor points here: http://www.foundmyself.com/honor-system/

Only one entry per person, please. Go go go!

This is my submission for the context.

This is the little convergence point I keep on my table. These colorful pens help in research ... underlining, highlighting, etc. These colorful pens also help in creating sketches. Particularly the black microtip pen is much coveted. I love 'em all ... Would you too love those pens and crafts? Oh yes yes ... let me tell you ... I have prepared that colorful bowl myself where I have kept all my dear pens. That bowl is actually the main role of a duct tape you know ...

My work area is a very small bench tucked away in a corner of my house. Lots of tools, good music and a beautiful woods to look at outside the window. This little space is where I escape and dream big dreams.

Research has show that children who live in untidy less well organised house holds tend to be more creative than those who live in very tidy well organised house holds. Where this research is now I do not not know but.

Am I creative because I am messy or am I messy because I am creative?

Or am I just preoccupied by my disorganization and not creative at all, just messy?

Am I bit OCD with being organized? Perhaps...I know I spend as much time arranging my space as I do working in it. My work is creatively chaotic - my workspace...ebbs and flows from disaster to immaculate. My brushes - organized but well-loved and while neat right now...they give away that secret chaos in their colorful stains and left over paint! Lol

My go to well-loved brushes-when I can decide which one I want to use! I'm noticing that I'm gathering quite a collection here :)))

...current project, "Can Do"

My work station usually appears really disorganized, but since my primary tool is an airbrush I have to keep everything a project may need within easy reach of my fingertips. Once paint is in the airbrush, you simply must work non-stop until you're ready to do the not so fun clean-up & maintenance. I turn on my tunes and lose myself... I truly enjoy what I do. :D
