Buying art on Foundmyself

Note: the following applies to art not in the artStock collection. That's sold by us.

On Foundmyself, our artists are on the Honor System. That means art purchases are between you and the artist.

The “Buy now” button

Buy now button

Underneath art that's for sale, you'll see a “Buy now” and contact button. Both of these will send a message to the buyer with some basic details about you (name, email, country, etc.), letting them know that you're interested in possibly purchasing the artwork.

You should include any extra information you think would be useful to the artist.

If the artist is interested and the piece is for sale, they'll contact you to work out the terms of the transaction.

Once you've both agreed on terms, the artist will either send you a purchase link, or give you another way to pay.

Your purchase goes directly to the artist

Because we run on the Honor System, Foundmyself doesn't take a percentage of these sales. You can feel great that you're supporting independent creators.

Making safe purchases

Again, since the sale isn't handled by Foundmyself, you might want to look into using an escrow service, or find other ways to ensure a safe transaction.

The more clear communication between you and the artist, the better.
