I am an artist currently studying Contemporary Art at the University of Huddersfield, I spend my time between where I study and my home town of Leeds.
My interests in art is looking at women and the woman’s figure. I mainly research this topic as it is something I find personal and can relate to myself, as well as finding women inspirational. My work is personal but can be relatable to others own experiences, which can cause debates and conversations, which I hope my art achieves.
To bring my artistic pieces to life, I use my favourite mediums which are acrylic paints and oil paints. Both these mediums can be difficult, but my approach is to work with paints rather than take control of the paints. I prefer the quick, textured and messy detail that the paints create and work into them if needed. Although I use all colours of paint, my favourite colours to use when creating work are pinks, purples and whites, which I feel are the most feminine colours.
Recently, I have been working on canvas and creating contemporary abstract pieces that connect with the modern society. I make canvas pieces ranging from A0-A10 in any style and colour they like.
